After recent safety incidents during 2018, and having conducted a successful trial at the Goondiwindi 400, the AORRA Board has implemented the continued use of a rear facing strobing blue LED light for the 2019 season.
These are recommended to be fitted to all competition vehicles at AORRA sanctioned events for 2019. Please note that it is not compulsory for 2019 but highly recommended as they will become compulsory for 2020 and beyond.
The fitting of these will increase the visibility of vehicles in dusty conditions and therefore reduce the risk of collisions.
Specifications:
- At least one rear facing blue strobing/flashing LED light.
- Must be illuminated when main isolation switch is in the on position.
- Face area of not less than 60 cm2.
- Must be visible from an angle of 45 degrees either side of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
